Thanks for all the good suggestions. In Skin-So-Soft, it's
not the citronella that I'm allergic to, it's perfume. I
can't wear most perfumes or stand to be around people
wearing some kinds - musk is a particular trigger of mine.
I raise geraniums scented with the same essential oil as in
citronella to keep bugs away from my patio - citronella
don't bother me at all. I've tried rubbing a few leaves
over his skin, and when the eczema isn't bad, it works -
but can't do that when he's hurting. DEET on his clothes
leaves his legs totally bare - and the skeeters zero in on
those bony little legs like they were a blood bank giving
samples. We'll try the B1 supplements and other ideas
offered. Thanks!

psam
