Hello I've had a small bit of grant writing experience and am a blind
person as well. I can't imagine why Dr. Gardener didn't have someone
proof read his work. I'm not even thinking about looking for blindness
related stuff just to give input etc. Most grant writer's run their final
copy through at least one other person to ensure it is perfected. And the
directions as to how to format it would be given in a detailed way. To me
it sounds like he was going it on his own without having the final copy
checked out before sending it off. And if that means a significant amount
of money could be lost than I think he was somewhat foolish. But of
course I don't know all the specifics and they could make my opinion
foolish as well. Maureen
