Greetings,
I have been lurking on this listserv for a little while and this is my
first "new message." I used rice dream to make ranch dressing from the dry
mix and it didn't thicken like ranch dressing should. I plan to make a
favorite bourban chiffon pumpkin pie using rice dream instead of milk, but
since the pumpkin mixture has to set and thicken after cooking, I am afraid
it won't thicken either.
Any info on whether or not rice dream is always a good substitue for milk
in recipes?
