Hi! This is a question that seems to come up every holiday so I thought I
would respond to the list at large. Look for a fresh (not frozen or
previously frozen) turkey and also look for the words "Minimally
processed" which is *usually* a good indication that the bird is a) dead
and b) cleaned and nothing else. Personally, I stay away from any birds
that have basting juices added - less calories, anyway. Two brands that I
understand to be GF are Perdue (I spoke with them on a couple of
occasions) and Butterball (based on a phone call last Thanksgiving). This
would be fresh turkey only.
