Deborah and Susan.

I just spoke with Lisa in the Burger King' consumer relations. Her
explanation wasn't real comforting. She suspects since their stores are
franchise run that the whey and gluten coated fries are old stock. They
supply the product but they don't maintain inventory information once
delivered to stores.

She did say that Jan '98 BK will be officially rolling out their new fries
fires.

The way I will be handling it will be to request to see the ingredient
panel each time we order or just go back to avoiding BK for another year or
so.

To get information on their buns, etc. call 1-305-378-3535 to order a BK
8/97 "Nutritional Information" brochure. Or better yet ask your local BK
manger for a copy. Make sure the date printed on the back of the lower
right hand corner reads "Revised 8/97" or later. I was told the 8/97 is the
lasted version as of late Sept '97.

To your family's health,

Helen
