Hello All,
As someone who is blind since birth I know how frustrating it can be to
learn to use the Internet. Along the way I have had help from a sighted
person and asking questions of my blind friends. I have also used
tutorials but most of what I have learned is through trial and error. My
best advice for any person who wants to learn to use the Internet is to
turn off the television and spend time learning to use the net. Since I
am totally blind there isn't much incentive to sit and watch television
all the time, especially when I realize that learning to design web pages
may help me to land a job even if it happens three years down the road.
The Internet is like a puzzle and it is our mission should we choose to
except it as Internet users to solve it. smile
Jim
