This is a blast!  Two years ago for christmas my son, after consulting with
teaching personnel at a small airport near us, gave my husband an hour's
flying lesson as a gift.  While The Kid sat in the back with a video
camera--somethings you just can't expect anyone to take on faith--my
husband piloted the little sesna in the sky west of chicago with a young
lady instructor who was an astonishingly fine communicator and had nerves
of steel.  It's just one of those things a blink should never be able to
do, and--oh!--iit was wonderful!!  My husband still wants to ride in a
hot-air balloon.  Maybe next year.
