I've found it best so far to limit my fruit intake. I cannot eat fruit
with impunity else my diabetes' control suffers :(
But recalling the fruitarian thread I tried getting more information on
fruits and their nutrients. By in large, the only real nutrient in fruit
seems to be "sugars" with everything else including vitamins & minerals in
relatively short supply.
About the only fruits I found really that are suitable for me were
raspberries because of their higher fibre to sugar/fructose ratio and
grapefruit sections with some of the juice (fructose) squeezed out leaving
behind lots of bioflavinoids. (Then supplementing my vitamin C -
supplements being a whole other controversial topic on Neanderthin)
Other than tasting darn good and other than them being easily available raw
seasonably to paleo-man fruit doesn't seem to offer much nutritionally --
or am I missing something?
