Not just in their imagination. I've actually seen some vegetarians get real
pleasure out of viciously stabbing and slaughtering a carrot, slicing it to
pieces without any awareness of the taking of a LIFE, and then grunting as
they chew it up, orange juice streaming down their chin.

Their awareness of LIFE is obviously diminished by the lack of meat in their
diet.
