Let me restate that.  There is profit in low-carb, but not for the
companies that are profitting from selling high-carb "low-fat" and "diet"
foods now.  And these are huge corporations.  It's only in their best
interests to continue to have people thinking that high-carb diet foods are
what people should be buying.  I don't know anything about the meat,
poulty, and fishing industries, but I think those are more like groups of
smaller companies (anyone who knows better or more, please correct me).

You know, I kind of wonder about  the statement, "There's no profit in
lowcarb."  I would tkink the meat, poultry, and fishing industries would
stand to gain if low carb dieting were to become popularized.
