Hi Everyone,

Went to visit my brother in Virginia and took the chance of going out to
dinner with my family and theirs. We went to "Outback" an Australian
themed steak house. I proceeded to tell my waitress that I was very
allergic to additives and preservatives in any food and needed some info.
I also mentioned wheat, rye and before I could get the rest of our celiac
statement out, she asked me if I have celiac disease. I was floored!
Seems her best friend has celiac, too! Very understanding and went back
to the kitchen to check everything out. I skipped the salad because of
dressings they offered and asked if I could have the steamed veggies in
place of the salad. Dinner consists of unseasoned tenderloin steak, baked
potato and steamed veggies, plus a cup of tea (Lipton tea bag). I have no
connection with "Outback" but I thought I would share this experience
with you.
