I hesitate to send this but maybe it could help someone. I joined this
group when my son-in-law was diagnosed by his dermatologist May of 97.
He has been gluten-free but still had flareups. A mo. ago had terrible
breaking out. Went to my family dr. There is a new bloodtest for yeast
reaction and he tested positivefor yeast and molds. Was prescribed
diflucan for 3 wks and 3 wks of anti yeast diet. Within a day the rash
began to clear. Seems to be cured. Is back on wheat but not to overdo.
He also begins allergy shots next week. I have found this group so very
supportive I felt I should tell his story but certainly do not wish to
give anyone false hope. This is new and has been hard to diagnose until
now. The dr. fears many people have been misdiagnosed with irritable
bowel syndrome when in fact is yeast in the colon.
