Thanks to all who responded to my question about confusing DH with
excema.
Here is the summary:
2 said that they have diagnosed DH that had one time been misdiagnosed
as excema.
4 said that you do not have DH but that EXCEMA CLEARED UP SIGNIFICANTLY
WHEN ON A GF DIET.
3 said that they were not diagnosed with DH, but thought there could
be a possibility that their excema was DH, and regardless, it was
better on a GF diet. All these people said that there was a family
history of skin problems, and that some family members refuse to
be tested for celiac.
One poster indicated that it is easy to have DH biopsied by a dermatologi=
st.
I have shared this information with my mom, and hope that she will share
it with the family, since a bunch of them have excema that would be
considered quite severe.
Thanks to all,
Judy Hettena Wright=
