Empowerment Zone (http://www.smart.net/~empower) has a new
collection of electronic text resources on the subject of the Java
programming language and computing environment. Java, a cross-
platform standard, is a potential direction in the development of
information technology. If its design can be made generally
accessible to alternative input or output equipment used by people
with disabilities, we may enjoy the same benefits as others in the
digital age.

One can find this Java collection by selecting the appropriate link
in the table of contents near the beginning of the front page.
Alternatively, one can find a particular file by using the search
feature of a web browser to find a phrase in its description below:

* The Java Language Environment: A White Paper

* An Excerpt from the Java Source Book

* Compilation of Java newsletters

* Tutorial on JavaScript

* Download Collection of Java help files

* Official Java web site of Sun Microsystems

* Report on the accessibility of Java to people with disabilities
