Hi,

I too developed lactose intolerance in my late 20's. It took me a while to
figure out that was the problem, and in the mean time I was miserable.
Mainly because i am certifiably addicted to Blue Bell ice cream :-).
Things are much better now thanks to Lactaid and a greater awareness of dairy
products. I had no idea that whey and casein were part of the problem until
reading about them here on-line. I use Lactaid Ultra caplets when eating
cheese etc, and I drink calcium enriched Lactaid 100 with my coffee, cereal,
etc. This works great for me, but you should definately experiment with the
different formulation to detirmine what works best for you.
Some dairy products don't bother me at all (yogurt), but others wreak havoc
on my system.
My mother says that I did not digest dairy product well as a baby, but as a
child, adolescent I wasn't aware of any problems. At about 26 I began
experiencing the symptoms.
Sorry to have rambled but I hope this helps a little.

Jaye
