I don't know how this holds with starting Neanderthin from "scratch"
(rather than switching from another lowcarb diet), but I know that with
Atkins, lipid numbers often get worse before they get better.  Checking
them before 6 months on the diet could produce falsely high results.  Don't
get a check up after a month or two and condemn the diet because the
numbers went up please...
