Well, the going price is what people will pay, right?
It would be easy for someone to mistake Crimini for the other 'normal'
kind of mushrooms; I think the chef probably was a little confused.

But his point (about them being overly expensive) is probably right.  I've
thought of getting those mushroom-growing kits myself, but haven't got the
space right now.
