Stephanie, if I get anyone to answer this I will let you know. So far,
I haven't had any replys to this question. I wish I would because I
got deathly sick Friday night and I don't know what caused it. I had
eaten some ham lunch meat at lunch that day. According to the ingred-
ients on the package it was just ham and not mucked up with modified
food starch, etc. Then for supper I had some home-made tacos and I
decided to go ahead and eat some cheese on the tacos. About 1 1/2 hrs.
after supper I had massive, severe diarrhea and was as close as you
can get to vomiting without actually doing it. The symptoms were just
exactly like my symptoms I was having last October before they identified
celiac sprue. I don't know now if it was the ham lunch meat or the
cheese that made me so sick. I have been eating the home-made tacos
all along without any problems except for this vague feeling that all
hasn't been quite right when I eat milk products. I couldn't get an
answer from the GI doctor about casein.
