For cradle cap with all three of my kids I rubbed a good quality oil
into their scalps each night and shampooed each a.m. and  used the soft
baby brush to dislodge the crusty stuff.  It always worked well and
caused no harm.  I found this information in an herbal and natural
remedy book.
