A couple of years ago it was reported in the Danish Coeliac
Society mag that trials were afoot in the US with spraying
fresh fruit with purifed wheat protein to give a longer
shelf life. We never did hear any more. Does anyone know
what happened or even if this was a case of incorrect
reporting?

We still avoid all US fruit just in case.

Regards

David
