Here's something to think about.
I know someone with CD diagnosed about 4 years ago, thru a biopsy.
He paid little attention to the diet. He wasn't bad as far as the CD went.
About 3 months ago he started to have a bagel and coffee at a donut shop.
After about 2 weeks of this, he developed some of the signs of CD.
He was put on a celiac diet, and responded about 75%. However if he ate raw
fruit, soup, salad, etc. he had a problem.
He made an appointment with a GI doctor, who had his biopsy results from 4
years
ago sent to him. Also the patient was sent for blood work.
Now today the patient got the results from this GI doctor. The blood work is
neg. and the biopsy taken 4 years ago was neg. This doctor suggested either a
gluten challenge, and another biopsy in july, or else the patient might be
alergic to something that is trigering the CD symptems.
I know what some of you will say TRY ANOTHER DOCTOR.
However how can a so called specilized doctor not be able to read the results
of the biopsy taken 4 years ago? Either this doctor or the previous doctor.
Any clues?
Alex
