To Pat and all:
I'm 65, celiac all my life, and right now, feel the best I ever have. My
energy level is high; I can play three sets of singles tennis and come home
feeling invigorated.

Yes, the diet is a pain, restaurants are an adventure, and dining with
friends is awkward sometimes. But the diet forces us to eat in a more healthy
manner than most people do, with the result that overall health is benefited.

Reading all the posts, I sometimes worry that we are becoming a bit
celiac-paranoid. It's important to be vigilant about foods, but let's not let
it be the overriding factor in our lives.
