I was given a supplement for the adrenal glands and though I asked the
manufacturer if the above three ingredients were derived from wheat, I
wasn't reassured at all -- after a brief consultation with someone, the
woman I had been transferred to returned to the phone and said no, that
calcium lactate was "like a sugar," calcium stearate was "like a plant,"
and magnesium citrate was "more like a chemical." I'm afraid I failed to
make sense of the Merck Index entries also, and the archives don't cover
these additives.
I'm not really sure how worried I should be about this. Please advise.
