I'm really desperate and am very upset after having tried these Hagman
recipes in my breadmaker (the Black and Decker on our list of good
breadmakers for these GF flours!!!!). None have worked!! I have a
3-year-old son that LOVES sandwiches (and at this age, anything that
they WILL eat without a struggle is best) and I need to give him
sandwiches for his preschool. I'm really down about this--I can't keep
trying these recipes and running back to the Health Food Store all the
way on the other side of town to keep buying these expensive ingredients
anyway and then keep flopping on the recipes!!! Please, someone with
experience, tell me there's a light at the end of this long tunnel.
Does anyone know of a ready-made GF white bread for sandwiches???!!
I've tried some of those rice and pecan breads in the cold section at
the Health Food Store--HORRIBLE! No way for me OR my son! Is it even
possible to make a GF white sandwich bread somehow? Does anyone have
one of these breadmakers and have the Hagman recipes worked for you?
Before my GF life, I baked in my breadmaker just fine!! Also, in
Hagman's sour-dough starter (which who cares now if it doesn't work in
my breadmaker) it says to add the lukewarm water and rice flour to the
starter to replace what you've used, but it doesn't say whether to let
it rise and get bubbly again or if it's okay to just put back in the
frig. Does anyone know? AND is the only way to have good tasting GF
bread to make it by hand? Or is that still not good tasting? Please, I
need help from your experience!
