Since cats are obligate carnivores, it does not surprise me that some
of them are apparently unable to handle gluten in their diet. Dogs can
survive on a vegetarian diet, cats cant.  Mice, fish, and birds do not
contain much gluten :-)  A study has been done that shows cats do best
on an all-mice diet, but so far the pet food manufacturers have been
unwilling to cooperate.
