I would like to broadcast my thanks to the GIG of Seattle, Washington, for
having made it possible for children with celiac to attend camp this
summer. The good people of GIG volunteered their time to prepare GF foods
at one of the regular sessions of the YMCA camp Orkila, on Orcas Island in
the San Juan Islands. My daughter, 11, who had despaired of ever going to
camp, was able to have a normal camp experience, living in a cabin with
other girls, and eating in the dining hall with everyone else, while
getting GF food that looked like what all the other kids were eating. She
had a wonderful time and is hoping to go back next summer.
I hope that GIG will do this next again, and that more of you will take
advantage of this wonderful opportunity for your children.

THANK YOU, GIG.
