My husband works for Northrup Grumman, and brought home their company
newspaper to show me this article: "Wheat starch strips B-2, but is kind to
environment" My celiac-warped imagination really took off with some of the
statements in the article:

"Wheat starch crystals possess unique cutting characteristics which
enable them to remove paint by cutting rather than by fracturing the coating
with a medium like sand, which can damage or become imbedded in the surface."

"An existing hanger . . . was modified to house two complete four-nozzle
media blast systems."

"Herron said that a B-2 can be depainted in approximately six days . .
. . Strip rates are between one-third to one square foot-per-minute, depending
on the coating."

I hope no one on this list is subjected to such stripping methods, as we
all know how it feels!
