Hello friends,
I went into a "new" health store yesterday to see what type gf spread they
offered. It was what I expected...same old stuff :( Anyway, when I was in
there the kind service lady tried to tell me that malt is acceptable when it
is derived from the 6 inch barley plant not the 8 inch plant. I have never
heard of this in the 4 years I've been living with the gf diet. I felt she
was incorrect, totally. But if I am mistaken, someone correct me.
Another item that she said her "Celiac" friend enjoys without a problem is a
rice bread made with sprouted whole wheat kernels. I couldn't believe she
said it was acceptable for Celiacs. Does anyone know about sprouted whole
wheat kernels? Or is this lady totally misinformed?

YIKE!
