I would like to thank the 5 people for their responses to Blood Testing Vs.
Biopsy.

A son is a biopsy confirmed Celiac who was negative on all his tests except
the IgG gliadin.  Luckily, he had the biopsy first (during the course of an
endoscopy to correct a stricture in the esophagus).

A 22 year old daughter had negative blood work on all 4 panels and only
because they pressed it with the GI doc (who is supposed to be a celiac
specialist) did she finally agree to do a biopsy several months later and it
was positive (also revealed serious erosions in her stomach lining).  This
same doctor and her local support group said that in over 50% of the CD
blood panels there will be a false negative.

One lady said she had positive biopsy but negative blood test because of IgA
defeciency.

One lady said she had positive biopsy.  She had negative endomysial,
positive IgG and IgA antigliadin.

A gentleman said with DH the blood tests are usually negative.
Skin biopsies are done to confirm the gluten-sensitive enteropathy
diagnosis.  He still believes many "celiacs" and their doctors do not know
the difference between DH and CD.

I found this information to be very interesting.
