Bev,
If I thought I could get away with fruit juice I'd guzzle it by the gallon!
With my critical carb level being so restrictive, if I merely look at an
orange I seem to gain...or not lose.
Actually, my frustration about juices comes from the brainwashing most
people get regarding the amazing health benefits of "juice." Fresh squeezed
-- YES! Cooked, canned, frozen, spindled and mutilated -- NO!
Ads from the big juice growers associations forget to mention that heated
juice "ain't juice no more."
My personal quandry involves coffee... I've switched to tea several
times...but I still keep returning to the evil bean like an Arabica junkie.
Compared to the crack-like high provided by coffee, tea seems like drinking
dishwater to me...unfortunately!
Best of luck to us all, eh?
