My son really enjoys this product, and as it has live cultures, just like
"real" yogurt, it has been a god-send here. Feeding an ultra picky autistic
kid a diet that eliminates (most) of the things he is allergic to and is
also g/c free is tough. Now, here is the problem. The last few times I have
purchased it, the Parve label has been blacked out with a black magic
marker. I have seen this at 2 different stores, so it is happening at the
manufacturer level. I have called my local HFS, and "Pop" is checking it out
for me. I will post as soon as I hear back from him. My guess is that they
now use equipment that also is used for dairy products, and so lost the
kosher certification. This is criminal. My son had already eaten several
before I saw the black mark, and had no obvious reaction, but who can say
for sure?
