Cow's Milk & Diabetes

Hi,

I am sending this to three mail lists because I think it is
relevant: Hypoglycemia, No-Milk and Celiac.

I just came across something I wrote down that I heard on the news
back in 1989 indicating that studies linked cow’s milk to diabetes.
Researchers said cow’s milk damages insulin production in babies and
seems to only affect infants 3 to 4 months old. Researchers said that
some infants who drink cow’s milk are more likely to develop diabetes
as they get older. Sorry, I do not have a reference.

I thought this was interesting because I was not breast fed at all as a
baby. My mother was one of the millions of housewives back in the late
1950's who had been told by doctors that they should be using formula.
Remember when breast feeding was considered a no no? I just happened
to have been born then. She fed me SEGO canned milk and tap water in a
bottle. Now, in addition to hypo I have really bad food allergies
to a list of things including wheat and dairy and it has literally
ruined my life. Thanks again docs.
