Add Spain to your list of countries :-)

I think the main difference I find is that we don't get so many
different packed foods as you do there - that's good in one hand as
it means that we do get and eat lots of natural foods such as fresh
vegetables, fruits, fish, beans and olive oil... and I think our overall
diet style is healthier therefore. But the problem is to find good
health food stores when you do have a problem and need something special.
Food allergies are something quite new here. For instance, a peanut
allergy is unheard of in Spain (probably because we don't consume
peanuts excepts as a casual snack). It is difficult to find simpathy
and support from schools, families, etc. as the problem is new to them.
