Ariel,

     My husband has a lactose intolerance.  It seems to get worse the
older he gets.  He is 41 now. The way he combats this problem is fairly
simple.  There is a product called-Dairy Ease-that you can purchase in
Wal-mart or Kmart, etc. There are also some generic items that do the
same thing and they are cheaper. He doesn't drink milk very often but at
least he can when he wants to. Good luck. Suzanne
