Hi,
I have a Goldstar, 2 pound bread machine and it makes wonderful bread. I
need to help the beginning mixing by scrapping down the sides the first
few minutes, then I forget it. While it's baking I mix the dry
ingredients, not the yeast or sugar, together and put them in a ziplock
bag for the next loaves.
I thought that I did read in Betty Hagemans books that not all rice
flours are the same, meaning the texture. I believe that this can cause
a problem with the results. I have had to decrease the water in some of
her bread recipes, then they turn out all right. I do get the
temperature of the water to 105 degrees, before putting it in, because my
machine doesn't have a preheating element.
I use the short bake program, then my bread is done in just under 3
hours. I have to take it out when its done because there's not a cooling
fan and rice bread does get soggy.
My bread machine along with my KitchenAid mixer are life savers.
Keep a positive thought,
Connie
