No. It is illegal for an FDA purviewed product to hide MSG under the label
"spices", and it has been illegal to do so for a very long time (if not
forever). Something falling under the purview of the USDA was allowed to
hide MSG under spices, but this is no longer true.

But it can be hidden under "natural flavors" or "flavorings". (BBQ sauce is
regulated by the FDA and not the USDA, which only covers agriculture and
meat.)
