Here is a summary of the responses to what brands of Vitamin B12 are GF.
-Every vitamin I take is from Freeda, who only make gf vit. If you
dont have their no, let me know. They will give you 20% off when you
tell them you have CD.
-I use Country Life B-Complex, however, as the 'FreedaVites'
multivitamins I take (by FREEDA) don't contain quite enough B to my
liking. The Country Life formula metabolizes correctly and efficiently
- allowing you to feel the results within an hour or so.
-Went to a support group meeting and brochures were given out by
Shaklee, U.S. They carry GF products such as toothpaste, deodorant,
skincare, vitamins, minerals and even house cleaning products. ALL GF.
Call 1-800-946-0171 for a catalog or order. OR Freeda Vitamins out of
New York 1-800-777-3737. They, too, have GF and lactose free
supplements. I kept these companies from the list along with our
support group info
-Check out Frieda and Solgar - they are both gluten free, and would
probably be carried at your local health food store.
-The type of supplement that I buy for my husband is Sublingual B-Total.
It includes B-12 and if taking the recommended daily dosage you should
be getting the same amount as they give in B-12 shots. I have found it
in the pharmaceutical section at Wal-mart. It is made by Pharmaceutical
Laboratories, Arlington, TX 76006 and their number is 1-800-338-4788.
-I use 'Nature Made' products from Nature Made Nutritional Products,
Mission Hills, Ca. 91346-9606. Their number is 1-800-276-2878. I take
500mcg B12 and Multiple Vitamins with Minerals. Both of these are GF.
They also produce a full array of other vitamins and supplements. In
Charlotte, NC and the rest of the southeast you can find these products
in Ekerd Drugstores.
**As always, double check the ingredients/& w manufacturer to make sure
they are currently GF.
Thanks, Listmates for your responses & for being SO helpful.....
