I have to agree with Patrick; I am delighted to have Celiac Disease and
have all of my symptoms controlled by diet alone. I was "classically" ill
for more than a year and suffered depression & paranoia like so many others
have described. I have been gluten-free for 10 months now and have never
felt better in my life! I don't feel limited by a gluten-free diet at all;
there are so many wonderful things that I <can> eat, and my memories of
being sick are still so vivid that I am never even tempted by the sight of
a sandwich or a donut. Before my diagnosis I had no idea what wonderful
things one can make out of rice, potatoes, corn and tapioca and I am having
a great time trying out new recipes and new ways of doing things. Life is
for living, and I refuse to waste one minute of mine fretting over the way
I must eat.

Happy Spring Everyone!
