Hello, I recently had my two daughters tested for CD using the Celiac Disease
Evauator panel from Specialty Laboratories. The results came back identical
for both children (ages 2 & 6) and are as follows:
Reticulin IgA: Less than 1:10
EndomysialIgA: Less than 1:5
Gliadin IgG: Less than 10
Gliadin IgA: Less than 10
Transglutaminase IgA: Pending
Does this really mean that, at this time, there is no indication of CD? Does
anyone know about the "shelf life" of the blood sample, and how this might
effect the testing outcome? There seemed to be a delay in getting our blood
samples from the children's hospital to Specialty Lab (even though it was sent
overnight). The blood was drawn 5/22, received at the Lab on 5/26 and the
test was run 5/29.
One last question, when should I have them tested again? Once a year or every
few years? I am biopsy diagnosed (adult onset post pregnancy #2).
Thank you very much for your insight into this matter.
