StJohns, our host, recently made some hardware and software changes.
The majority of your interaction with the List will not change. The
following paragraphs will explain how the improvements may effect your
utilization of certain commands.

1. The address for posting to the List has changed from
[log in to unmask] to: [log in to unmask]

2. The Listserve administrative address has changed from
[log in to unmask] to [log in to unmask] This new
address is used for adjustments to your ID (signing off, mail, nomail,
etc.). It is also used for commands that access the logfiles.

3. Searches are initiated using the new SEARCH command, rather than by
submitting a DATABASE SEARCH job. The syntax of the SEARCH command is
virtually identical to that of the SEARCH clause in database jobs. This
command automatically produces an index and, where applicable, context
information showing the search words as they appear in the posting.
For example to find messages with Xantham Gum, you would submit the line
to [log in to unmask]:

        SEARCH xantham gum in Celiac

For additional information on variations of the search command, you can
request a copy of the search help file, by sending to:
[log in to unmask]

        GET CELIAC DBSEARCH CELIAC

4. Subscribers who obtain their messages in the INDEX format will use a
new command, GETPOST, to facilitate the retrieval of individual
messages from the archives. The syntax of the GETPOST command is:

        GETPOST Celiac itemrange1 <itemrange2 <...>>

5. Those who automatically obtain reference files from the List through
the AFD system will see several changes over the next few months. The
exact details are not available at this time.

6. The previous technique of using packages to obtain a collection of
files from the Listserve has stopped. The files are still available. It
is just that you must now submit a GET request for each file. Multiple
files can be requested in the same message.

7. Some subscribers may desire to have the system automatically
identify mail from the List by adding the Listname to the subject line.
This is done by sending to the Listserve address, paragraph 2:

        SET CELIAC SUBJecthdr

8. Remember to add // EOJ as the last line of any administrative
command sent to the Listserve.
