I am interested in exploring the possibility that some of the symptoms I
have are caused by casein rather than lactose, but haven't been able to
find much information on where casein is found that lactose is not, so that
I can test my theory. Does casein appear in all milk products, or in other
words, in everything that has lactose? Is it also a sensitivity that might
disappear after as long as a few years on a gf diet as lactose apparently
can? I have read a lot about the connection between lactose and cd but
never seen any information on the casein involvement. By the way, I have
recently discovered that soy gives me symptoms similar to eating gluten,
which has been helpful in trying to figure out what causes some of my
discomfort. I have had a second biopsy which was negative, so supposedly
gluten is not causing my discomfort. Any information would be appreciated.
