My child, too, had very reliable skin tests at 8 months old. Over the
next 2 years, it has become very obvious that her skin test reactions
mirror very well her "tolerance" for the foods they tested. The borderline
skin test reactions have borderline symptoms. The more severe the skin
test reaction, the more severe her reactions. Fortunately, she's never
had peanut - since that was the biggest reaction on her skin test.
Paula's right, check with your local allergist - preferably one who
specializes in pediatrics.
