DT:

I do not consider myself a milk wanna be - and yes I like to recipe milk
substitute recipes and also what we can use in place of milk. Why -
because I have children - personally I don't really care if I ever drink
milk again - but at the same time I do not appreciate having comments
that milk is poison continually shoved in my face. In my personal
opinion this no-milk list is to discuss all issues of milk. Once
discussed, at some time, it is time to go onto a new topic.

In today's society our children (with allergies) just want to be the
same as other children and if that means going on the list to obtain
recipes, so be it, it makes children happy to be able to eat something
that looks the same as what the other kids are eating. They are
different enough with their allergies, so where else do you figure we
are going to get our info. Definitely not from our doctors. My daughters
Paed. even told me the improper use of the epipen and if I hadn't found
out from another more qualified doctor, she could have died. We as
concerned parents are just trying to find out what we can about milk
allergies. Some people do not have problems with milk ever!!

Maybe mail on the no-milk list has slowed down because some of us are
getting tired of the same old same old. Maybe someone can introduce a
new topic and get things going again.
