While I don't have anything on the status of calcium lactate, I'd like to
make a point about meats and lunchmeats. If a meat or lunchmeat does not
have kosher markings, it does not necessarily follow that the product
contains milk. There are additional laws concerning what constitutes
kosher meat. Most lunchmeats are not made from kosher meat and therefore
will not have any kosher markings, whether milk-free or not.
If a lunchmeat is marked kosher (i.e.kosher meat) then it automatically
contains no dairy by law.
