I couldn't get a clear answer in the archives about the status of
pharmaceutical glaze. It is made with an alcohol, but I would imagine
that most of that evaporates in processing, does anything remain that is
of a concern? Is it even a grain alcohol that is used? I have this
tingling suspicion that it should be avoided.
On a cheerier and upbeat note: I love my GF cookbooks that I received
for Christmas. I realize how I've been struggling for the past 4 months
and didn't know it. Recommendation: get several. The tips and hints
alone are worth the shelf space.
