Hi All
This is my first attempt at a listserv, so please bear with me. My
14-month-old just had a blood antibody test that revealed allergies to
wheat, gluten, sesame, sunflower, and almonds. We also believe he has a
sensitivity to dairy. We are cosidering a blood test for Celiacs, but think
we'll wait since he'll be on essentially the same diet anyways. i have so
many questions, so here's a few:
- since he's been gluten free he has 2-4 dirty diapers in a day, up from
one. Is he flushing something out of his system? He's been GF for a week.
- I'm finding breakfasts and lunches hard to deal with - finding a variety
of foods that appeal to him and that he can eat is difficult. Suggestions?
- I saw several messages suggesting Kelloggs Corn Pops. I rushed out to get
them, and saw oat flour on the label. Is that OK? What about malt
"flavouring"?
- Halloween is approaching, and big bro (2 1/2 year old) is going to try and
give all his treats to the little guy. Any pointers on what is generally
safe to eat from the treat bag?
Lots of questions, and maybe they're often asked. Maybe replies to
me personally would save the listserv repetitiveness...
