There was a query about the Welbuilt 6000.

Recently I telephoned the Gluten-Free Telephone number at Red Star Yeast
(1-800/423-5422) to find out which bread machines they thought best for
making gluten free bread. Here is her response:

Wellbilt 3300, 3600, 4000, 4800, 6800

Toastmaster 1154, 1156S, 1195

Regal 6750, 6751, 6760, 6762

While shopping in Hecht's Dept store here in the Washington, D.C. area, for a
Wellbuilt 4000, I saw the 6000 and made the assumption, "newer, better".
Well....I had the presence of mine to ask the store to telephone the
Wellbilt 800 telephone number to see if it would be good for gluten free
bread. After explaining to the clerk what that means so he could ask the
question intelligently....the response came back, "No." So I wouldn't buy
the 6000 and keeping looking for the above. Good luck.

Also, the woman at Red Star Yeast had just returned from a Houston Celiac
Support meeting where she demonstrated and had with her all of those bread
machines. I didn't ask if she would go to other parts of the country to
meetings, however, its worth asking her.
