I recently went to my favorite local Mexican restaurant (Americanized)
where they know me and my diet quite well. They will fix me whatever I
want on corn tortillas; however, recently the owner told me NOT to ever
order their chili and a couple other items on the menu because they use
flower in the meat! I had never heard of this, but apparently it is
quite common. When they fry their hamburger they just dump flour in to
soak up the grease--they don't drain the grease, they soak it up!
I would imagine this means ANY item that has hamburger in it--tacos,
burritors, EVERYTHING. You may want to ask your favorite restaurants
about this. It may be common practice everywhere!
