<<Disclaimer: Verify this information before applying it to your situation.>>
One of the most valuable aspects of this list is the potential to learn
about places where "we" can eat and find our peculiar foodstuffs. I would
like to compile this information to be put into a Web site for instant
access when we're planning a trip.
So, how about everybody submitting to me ([log in to unmask]) information
about places in your neck of the woods where you can eat well and safely,
buy food, etc. We need to know:
1) location--country, state, city, address of place to be listed
2) name of establishment
3) if it's a restaurant, what meals you have found appropriate for a
g-f regime. Reservations needed?
4) if it's a food store, how wide is the selection
5) any other comments (often the most interesting part!) For
restaurants, a general description of type of restaurant and price range
(family? upscale?)
6) name of recommender (e-mail address too, if you don't mind it being
posted)
As we get all this info from you--all over the world--I will then send
letters to all the people listed in the FAQ in particular areas asking them
for additional information for their areas as well. When we've got a good
batch of stuff, I'll put it together in a file that I will then submit to
Michael Jones for further processing to create the web site.
Any questions? Write me a note. I read this list on digest, so if you post
questions to the list, there'll be a small lag in answering.
I'm looking forward to getting this project off the ground. It may take a
few months, but at least we're starting!

***While I'm asking for information... I'd like to get in touch with a
celiac specialist at University of California/San Diego in the next couple
of weeks. Any suggestions as to who?
