I received four responses to my post regarding traveling to Virginia Beach.
Three of them were requests for the information that I received.
Bob, from New York, reported that The Ships Cabin is one of his favorite
restaurants in Virginia Beach--on the waterfront, in view of the Bay Bridge
Tunnel. Last year when he and his wife were there, "the chef was very,
very accommodating" and they had fantastic gluten-free meals--including
desert.
One who asked for information said she had lived there 7 years ago and that
there was a big health food store, called The Heritage Store, on Laskin
Road near the beach that she felt sure would have gluten-free foods.
Jerry, who vacations south of Virginia Beach every year, said this would be
his first year to go as a celiac, so he was also interested in information.
He suggested some fine restaurants to check out to see if they could
accommodate: Tandoms, Blue Petes, The Duck Inn, The Lynnhaven Fish House,
the Raven, and Georges.
Thanks to those who responded.
